ICAE Mentorship Program: A call for mentees and mentors!

Important Dates to Note:

• January 20, 2023 – Mentorship Registration deadline.

• January 23, 2023 – Mentorship Cycle 1 Starts.

• June 23, 2023 – Mentorship Cycle 1 Ends.

• July 2023 – Mentorship Cycle 2 Starts.

The Igbo Cultural Association of Edmonton kickstarts the first cycle of its Mentorship program this January!

The mentorship program is designed to

• Provide mentorship opportunities to skilled and newly landed immigrants

• Link mentees to mentors in their fields.

• Connecting employers to a highly skilled labour force.

• Assist new and existing Igbo immigrants to continue in their careers by providing them with the information necessary to satisfy the entry requirements of their various professional boards in Canada.

• Enable professionals to acquire the relevant information, skill set, and connections that would enable them to succeed and contribute to the Alberta economy.

To this end, the mentorship project committee is looking for interested members from various professions to volunteer to provide mentorship to our mentees. If you or someone you know could benefit from being a mentee or mentor, please see attached poster and select the link that is applicable to you.

You can also be a part of the project by helping us spread the word, and tell a friend to tell a friend. Share this post or the attached poster with other Nigerians in Edmonton.
